Vikas Sharma (JKAS), aiming towards realizing Prime Minister’s vision of doubling farmers’ income and uplifting the Agriculture/ Horticulture sector of J&K, the department of Horticulture Planning & Marketing in collaboration with Invest India (ODOP Team) organized first of its kind Mega Buyer-Seller meet at Kolkata on 3rd Dec 2022. Around 250 participants consisting of buyers from Kolkata, officials of Government of West Bengal, President of Confederation of West Bengal Trade Association and officials of the Horticulture Planning & Marketing attended the event including sellers from J&K- farmers, SHGs, FPOs and entrepreneurs of J&K hailing from different corners of J&K; from remote areas of Kashmir to even border areas of Jammu which were facilitated to travel to Kolkata for meeting delegation of Buyers consisting of big merchants, exporters and giant corporations.
